This Website Is Not a Patient Portal

This website is for general information about my practice. It is not a patient portal, and it is not a secure channel for health information. Please do not send any personal health information, diagnoses, or clinical details through this website or by regular email.

If you are an existing client, use your SimplePractice client portal for anything involving your care. If you are a prospective client, use the contact form only to ask scheduling, fees, insurance, or general questions.

Contact form submissions are delivered directly to my email. Email is not encrypted end-to-end, which is why I ask that you keep health details out of messages sent through this site. For details on what this website itself collects, see my Privacy Policy.

Clinical Records & HIPAA

All clinical records, intake forms, treatment notes, and billing are maintained in SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform with which I have a signed Business Associate Agreement. Access to your clinical records happens through the SimplePractice portal, governed by my Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to you at or before your first session and available on request.

Telehealth

If we meet by video, sessions take place through SimplePractice's HIPAA-compliant telehealth feature. This website plays no part in clinical sessions.

Licensing & Who I Serve

I am licensed to provide therapy in California and Wyoming. Sessions are available to residents of those states. I also offer international coaching services, which are not considered clinical therapy and are not subject to HIPAA or state clinical licensing laws.

Minors

I work with minors in California and Wyoming. In those states, strict laws govern how a minor's confidential information is protected and when parents must be notified. A detailed explanation of these rights is provided to the minor and their parents/guardians at the start of services.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. That's another reason to keep health details off this site and inside the client portal.

I may update this page. The "last updated" date above will change when I do.
